Perhaps you remember two years ago when I cut a slit in my Christmas cards and thread them through a ribbon for display purposes.

It was pretty cute...

But the cards kept coming and I started getting tired of slicing and threading and started using clothes pins to hold them onto the ribbon.

Because of our new framed posters in our round eating area, the Holidays cards were moved to our living room for the following year...

My original thought was to make Rudolph the Reindeer out of all the clothes pins that hold up the cards.  I only had 364 days to work on it but somehow it never happened.

So this year.... *dun dun dun.....

My friend Jeff gave me four of these old framed tops of a fish hatchery container (thanks Jeff).  They are all metalic silver and he picked them up thinking they could be something spectacular.

They've been on my side yard for a year or so and I've had various thoughts on different ideas (does that even make sense?).  I finally decided to make a couple into a Holiday Card display rack.  I only have one completed as of yet, but then I only have received two cards so I think I'm good for a couple weeks at least.

Using a staple gun and a roll of hanging wire, I attached them in horizontal rows three inches apart.

You could totally do this same technique with one of those wood and fabric screen room dividers like this one pictured below (fabric removed).  My father in law picked this one up for me with the thought that I could make something out of it.  Dan LOVES it when I fill the garage with all of these special "gifts".

Can you kind of see it?   My daughter and her friend were decorating it to use as a background in their play.  This photo was taken ten minutes before the whole thing came crashing down and bruising the little girl's face.  Oops.  Sorry about that Alyssa.

So now I sit, and wait at the mailbox for your card....

I'll post an updated photo when more arrive!
