Bread Box Stationary Organizer

bread box upcycle stationary holder

Remember the days when we wrote letters?  In the mail?  I used to write letters all the time and send copies of pictures (because I always got doubles when I developed my film).  Occasionally I still enjoy putting pen in hand and writing a note to a friend.  Sometimes I'll forget to mail it for a week but that's another issue.  What better way to store your stationary then a vintage bread box?

Iced Coffee Cubes

Good morning Monday!

iced coffee cubes

You know there are mornings where you finish all the coffee and consider the drive through later, but occasionally there's a cup or two left in the pot.  Pour the remains into an ice-cube tray to use later for a cup of iced coffee.  Pop the cubes out and put them in a labeled freezer baggy.  I use this same method with left over broth, pesto and sauces.  Save now, enjoy later!

Washing A Sheepskin Rug

My family and I went on a camping trip a couple weeks ago.  We were gone two nights, so we planned for a neighbor to feed and take care of our animals for us.  Unfortunately one of our cats was locked in the bedroom the entire time.  Thank goodness she had the toilet for water, but without a kitty litter box, my sheepskin rug was the next best thing.  I love this thing and although it's been around for about 7 years, it's still in decent shape.  So how do you get cat urine out of a sheep skin that loves to welcome your bare feet to the ground every morning?

Prep for Back to School: Outfit Planning

It's back to school time!  For my family this means an adjustment from relaxed summer mornings to a pretty rigid schedule.  One thing that helps with the chaos is having our outfits pre-planned.  My son? Well he basically grabs a top and a pair of pants and he's good to go.  But for us ladies in the house, sometimes it takes more time.
